And now there are major changes for a cancer screening test, especially for prostate cancer.

According to reported by Dr. Jon LaPook, that a government panel recommends that healthy men no longer receive PSA blood test (Prostate Specific Antigen).

Nearly 241,000 prostate cancer cases and about 34,000, deaths expected this year.

Thousands of Americans every year, have been receive many screening blood tests known as PSA, hope to detecting prostate cancer and to treat early.

But the test of cancer screening in recent years, the Government Task Force made a shocking statement: People no longer receive PSA screening for routine.

A PSA blood test has made more controversy for decades because it is very bad to identification of cancer.

The PSA test can rise for reasons other than cancer. That is the problem, like as infections and prostate enlargement, or even if cancer is detected, it can grow so slowly that they never cause problems.

Per 100 persons 16 to develop prostate cancer in their life, only three died.

Research has shown that we need to test a large number of people and many biopsies in order to save lives.

n a 1410 cases, people should get a PSA screening to detect 48 cancers and only save one life to over nine years.

The side effects of prostate cancer treatment can cause a serious problem such as sexual dysfunction and urinary incontinence.

The audit committee of a major study of PSA blood test for U. S. Preventive Services Task Force has concluded that “The results of PSA screening in reducing prostate cancer mortality have little or none.”

The new proposal is the possibility that PSA screening is not routinely done, but it is still used for people with a family history record of prostate cancer, and tests in remission back its return.
